As a member of MikMak’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee, I took on the task of creating a slideshow template alongside MikMak’s graphic designer. Creating this template allowed other committee members to
focus on filling in the information while we focused on the look and feel of the presentation. Juneteenth is a
very important holiday and providing a place for the committee to teach others about Juneteenth is meaningful
to me as a young, black woman.
